The second annual zMotion Sunrise Classic is set
for April 10,2010 in Sunrise, FL and April 11, 2010 in downtown Ft.
Lauderdale, FL. As a zMotion team sponsor, American Classic will

The Nautica South Beach Triathlon is prestigious celebrity-charity event taking place in Miami's South Beach art deco district. Lloyd Taylor from Triathlon Lab is coming all the way from Los Angeles to exhibit at the race expo on Saturday April 10, 2010 and invited AC be there. Notable AC pro athletes who will be competing at Nautica South Beach are our cover athlete, Jenny Fletcher and Henry Hagenbuch.
American Classic will be exhibiting at the
Gone Riding Southeast Regional Championship MTB race at the legendary Tsali
Trails in Bryson, NC on April 11, 2010. Clayton Bramlett will be there for AC to
show product and root for the American Classic Pro Mountain Bike
Team in this US Cup qualifying event. Robert Marion of the AC squad reports
that he, "Philicia (Marion) and Chase Dickens just returned from a solid race
performance at the USA Cycling Pro-Tour in Fontana, California and we
are ready to go for this SERC race in our own
backyard."
With a lead of over four minutes, Ivonne Kraft won the first
stage of the women’s team event in South Africa’s legendary
eight day MTB stage race. The grueling event is open to teams of two riders
only. The course winds its way through South Africa‘s plains, mountains,
indigenous forests, and scenic coastlines. Ivonne, who rides for the
German RiderRacer Team, is on a Niner EMD with American Classic Tubeless 29ers,
her first year riding 29ers.

“the festival was a perfect blend of grassroots local
efforts by the host, the Ocala Mountain Bike Association and fantastic bicycle
industry support. There were new trails, an epic night ride, live music and
campfires.” AC plans to attend the Festival in 20
Bringaexpo was March 4-7, 2010 in Budapest, the Capitol City of Hungary. Zoltan Deak, sales executive for Biker.HU reports,
"The show was good, because it was held with other shows. the International Boat Show and the Hungarian Travel Show. We experienced about 30-50% more visitors than last year, around 13,000-15,000 people.” Biker.HU’s display included American Classic and a broad array of road and mountain bikes and accessories.
The American Classic Professional MTB Team makes their season debut at the first big race of the east coast SERC series on March 14, 2010 in Gainesville, FL. The team roster includes Robert Marion, Phalicia Marion and Chase Dickens (pictured).
"The team has been training hard. We hope to have good results in Gainesville. Our next stop is Fontana, California for the US Pro Tour," says Robert.

Adventure Cycling Association's director Jim Sayer visited Florida to lecture on the latest resources on bicycle travel, new bike-friendly routes, tours, and advocacy policy initiatives at the national level. ACA’s nonprofit mission is to inspire people of all ages to travel by bicycle for fitness, fun, and self-discovery. Bill Shook said, "Jim's talk reminded me of when I first began riding as a teenager on bike tours in Ohio."

Captain Ian Holt received the prestigious 2009 Athlete of the Year for the US Air Force. He is team leader of the US Armed Forces Team and scored 2 wins in his national, international and military road events. The award was presented by USAF Brigadier General Timothy A. Byers in Orlando, Florida on Dec. 1, 2009. In attendance at the awards ceremony were team director Debra Ponzio, veteran team rider Chief Petty Officer Sean Coleman and Ellen Kast of American Classic.
Cyklo Profi, our Czech Republic distributor, made a strong showing at Sport Life 2009 in Brno in early November. Says Cyklo Profi’s spokeswoman Martina Rejchrtova, “

Jimmy Adames is riding the North Face Trophy Bike Race in the mountains of Costa Rica. Jimmy is pictured with stage one race winner, Olympic Gold Medalist and World Champ, Miguel Martinez. Jimmy states, "
We climbed 600 vertical feet in the first mile and had a bunch of rocky, loose, muddy tecnical downhills and we also had a river crossing where the water was about 2.5 ft deep. The wheels worked great. Tomorrow, 46 hard miles."
Guillaume Lambert and his stoker Aurélien Collet put the tubeless 26" disc wheels through the paces at Roc D’Azur, the elite mountain bike race and festival in France. Guillaume reports,
"I didn’t hesitate to ride with the new MTB tubeless disc wheels! Now, I can assure that they are really strong after the 42 km of the race in the aggressive tracks around Frejus. We finished 20th of 230 tandems at the start. It was a really great race that I will remember for a long time."

Pat Thome put the hammer down winning the junior downhill title for France. Pat pushes the limits with his AC downhill and all mountain wheels in his races.
BTI is rolling their big test ride rig around the US. Their slogan is “Everybody Ride!” and this rig makes it possible to test out the latest bikes and of course, AC wheels. Coming to a bike shop near you.
Caitlin Snow completed the grueling event in the mountains around Lake Placid NY in 9:41:21. Although she did not defend her title this year, Snow had the fastest women's marathon time of the day, a reason to be proud. Cait will be riding her new 58mm tubulars in Kona.
Chris Foster was selected for the US National Duathlon Team competing at Duathlon World Championships on Sept. 26, 2009 in Concord, NC. Chris says it is, “a great honor to be recognized as one of the top run/bikers in the country and to be able to go head to head with the world's best!”
Shelly Allen was 5th in the women’s relay at the BC MTB Stage Race in Vancouver BC Canada. She rode our new tubeless prototype wheels for the trek. She reports that the new wheels “climb like a mountain goat”.
Alex Wetterhall gave Team Magnus Maximus Coffee.com the perfect start to the Swedish National Championships week with a victory in the Elite Time Trial with a time of 55:53. "For us it is a dream come true to take an elite national title in our first year as a pro team," says team director Magnus Backstedt, who also won this honor during his racing career.

Mary and Mike completed their European spring racing and will be returning to the US the first week in June, 2009. Mary says, "Mike and I have been on the move! 9 races in 9 weekends... We look forward to going to our east coast island home for the first time in 6 months... and from there, begin our preparation for National Championships in CO."
The Burn 24 Hour Challenge took place in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina over Memorial Day Weekend. Philicia Marion of the Kenda/KMC/Hayes MTB Team won the women’s solo 24-hour event. Phalicia completed 23 laps of the 7.5 mile course in 23:11, more than 5 laps ahead of her competitors. Her effort also gave her a 6th place overall among the solo men racers.

Multiple World and US National Handcycle Champion Scott McNeice is giving us a hand by testing our new prototype Bolt-On Wheelchair Hub on his bike.
